Senior Project Manager
Business Transformation
Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Job description
At Toku, we create bespoke cloud communications and customer engagement solutions to reimagine customer experiences for enterprises. We provide an end-to-end approach to help businesses overcome the complexity of digital transformation and deliver mission-critical CX through cloud communication solutions. Toku combines local strategic consulting expertise, bespoke technology, regional in-country infrastructure, connectivity, and global reach to serve the diverse needs of enterprises operating at scale. Headquartered in Singapore, Toku supports customers across APAC and beyond, with a growing footprint across global markets.
As a Senior Project Manager at Toku, you will independently own and deliver complex system integration and cloud-based projects across enterprise customers in APAC. This role balances hands-on delivery with strong stakeholder, risk, and resource management, operating in a multi-vendor environment with evolving products and processes. You will play a key role in strengthening delivery standards and mentoring within a lean PM function. You will thrive in this role if you enjoy owning outcomes end-to-end, navigating ambiguity, and delivering under real-world constraints.
What you will be doing
-
End-to-end project ownership: Own delivery of small to medium projects initially, progressing to large, multi-country programmes, with accountability for scope, timelines, budget, quality, and outcomes.
-
System integration delivery: Lead complex system integration initiatives across multiple platforms and vendors, ensuring solutions are delivered efficiently and aligned with client and technical requirements.
-
Project and programme planning: Develop and maintain detailed project plans covering scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, and resources, adapting plans as delivery realities evolve.
-
Stakeholder management: Act as the primary interface for clients, internal teams, partners, and vendors, managing expectations, resolving issues, and maintaining trust across geographically distributed stakeholders.
-
Risk management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate delivery risks, including technical, resource, dependency, and product-maturity risks, taking corrective action where needed.
-
Resource management: Coordinate and optimise the use of internal teams, vendors, and partners across multiple concurrent projects and technology stacks.
-
Delivery in evolving product environments: Successfully deliver projects involving Toku-owned products where processes, tooling, and maturity may still be evolving, operating pragmatically under ambiguity.
-
Testing coordination: Work closely with testing teams to ensure test coverage aligns with functional and integration requirements, coordinating validation activities without performing hands-on testing.
-
Project reporting and governance: Provide clear, regular reporting on delivery status, risks, milestones, financials, and quality to internal leadership and clients.
-
Commercial milestone tracking: Manage project payment milestones and flag risks to revenue recognition or go-live timelines in a timely manner.
-
Mentoring and delivery uplift: Mentor junior or less experienced project managers on delivery standards, tools, and best practices, contributing to improved PM capability across the team.
-
Remote-first delivery: Lead and deliver projects primarily in a remote environment, using structured communication and collaboration to maintain momentum and alignment.
We’d love to hear from you if you have
-
Core project management experience: 5–10+ years of hands-on project management experience delivering complex technical or system integration projects.
-
Project management certification: Project Management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or CITPM is required.
-
Enterprise delivery capability: Proven ability to independently own and deliver projects involving multiple stakeholders, vendors, and delivery constraints.
-
Stakeholder management strength: Demonstrated experience managing senior client stakeholders and navigating competing priorities and expectations.
-
Risk and resource management expertise: Practical experience identifying delivery risks early and managing people, vendors, and dependencies effectively.
-
Cloud delivery experience (highly preferred): Hands-on experience delivering projects involving cloud platforms, with a strong preference for AWS
-
Technical fluency (non-engineering): Ability to understand and explain technical concepts well enough to identify risks, support delivery decisions, and reduce dependency on engineering teams.
-
Multi-vendor system integrator exposure: Experience working across multiple platforms and products within a single project (e.g. AWS, Cisco, ServiceNow).
-
Contact centre domain exposure
Business user and/or technical understanding especially around Contact Centre related solutions such as Voice/Screen Recording, Telephony, WFM, QM, Speech Analytics, Chatbot, LiveChat, Whatsapp, Email, CRM (MS Dynamics, Salesforce, ServiceNow) etc is a strong added bonus for this role. -
Project delivery tooling: Practical experience using tools such as Jira (or similar) for planning, tracking, and reporting.
-
Resilience and adaptability: Ability to remain pragmatic, constructive, and delivery-focused in fast-changing environments with evolving requirements.
-
Learning mindset and competitive drive: A continuous learning mindset and a healthy competitive drive, with motivation to improve delivery standards, adopt better tools and practices, and raise the bar on project outcomes.
-
Remote collaboration capability: Proven ability to lead and deliver effectively in remote or distributed team settings.
What would you get?
-

-
