We started with a good idea and some promising tech to our name.

Thomas Laboulle caret
CEO, Founder
Thomas is the founder and CEO of Toku. In 2006, he graduated from the Royal Military Academy of Belgium as an Infantry Officer. He spent several years in the field and participated in overseas missions for the United Nations and NATO. That experience shaped his bold and decisive leadership style and served him well whilst moving into the private sector. During this period, Thomas explored management consulting and created an online marketplace for students called NimbusFish in his spare time. His various consulting missions became focused on International Project and Change Management for Corporate IT Initiatives. This refinement led to his next business venture in 2012 when he founded Mundito, a boutique consulting firm. Within three years, Thomas decided that fast-growing Asia was the place-to-be in terms of business opportunities. He migrated to Singapore with the intent to pioneer digital business models for technology start-ups in the financial sector. Besides his in-house consultancy work, Thomas also worked on due diligence assignments for a Swiss family office. By mid-2016, Thomas was recruited by the Board of Directors of GlobalRoam to lead and re-structure the then 15-year-old Singaporean telecom operator. That chapter resulted in the eventual founding of Toku in 2018. Outside of work, Thomas enjoys swimming and long runs to unwind. He is also an avid reader, loves history, and is passionate about how technology and innovation are essential to the future of our society.

Christophe Riccardi caret
Chief Operating Officer (COO)
As COO, Christophe Riccardi is responsible for driving the company’s ongoing quest for operational excellence, while expanding our portfolio of leading cloud communications solutions. With more than 20 years of experience in the Telecommunication and Mobile industry spanning 3 continents under his belt, Christophe has built his reputation as a results-focused business leader with brands like SAP, Nokia, and Wavecell (which was acquired by 8×8). He holds a Master of Science in Networks and Telecommunications from University College London and an Engineering Degree from Ecole Nationale Supérieur des Telecommunications de Bretagne. Christophe enjoys travelling, and he can often be found diving into the clear waters of a new destination or grooving to the beat of his favorite tunes.

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Christian is a seasoned professional with a passion for excellence and a proven track record of success across the Asia Pacific region. Since the inception of Toku, he has been an integral part of the team and played a crucial role in the company's growth and success. Before joining Toku, Christian held the positions of CFO at CtrlShift, Head of Shared Services/ Group Controller at Pacnet, Head of Finance at Yahoo! SEA among others where he demonstrated his exceptional technical, leadership and strategic thinking abilities. When he’s not refining the company’s financial strategy, Christian is a foodie at heart and enjoys trying out new cuisines. He is an advanced PADI diver. Christian holds degrees in Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, and Business Administration, and is also a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA).

Head of Marketing
Ana Castrillon is a global marketing leader with over a decade of experience in directing and executing integrated marketing and communications strategies. She has a strong track record of building comprehensive marketing plans, and leading cross-functional teams in multibillion-dollar technology organisations and mission-based startups. At Toku, Ana is overseeing marketing strategy, Toku's brand, corporate communications and growth marketing. With her global mindset and passion for experiencing new cultures and creating lasting relationships, Ana loves to foster diverse and empathetic cultures that empower women, and ensure everyone's voice is heard in order to lift up society and organisations.

Andrew Tan caret
Head of Carrier Services
As Head of Carrier Services, Andrew Tan spearheads all initiatives related to provisioning of Voice and SMS connectivity. Importantly, this includes PSTN replacement in APAC, A2P SMS connectivity, direct voice terminations with Tier 1 voice providers, and reselling to new partners. Prior to joining Toku in 2018, Andrew worked for 22 years in Carrier Relations, including 10-15 years dealing with Wholesale Voice/Data. He likes to travel and savour local cuisine, but loves nothing more than good old barbecued stingray, prawns and chicken wings.

Ethan Ruff caret
Chief Legal Officer
Ethan Ruff serves as Toku’s Chief Legal Officer and is responsible for managing the company’s legal, regulatory, privacy and corporate governance matters. In this capacity, he seeks to ensure that the legal function acts as a strategic partner to the business, is data driven and technology enabled. Prior to joining Toku, Ethan spent 8 years in private practice in Singapore, developing deep experience leading cross-border corporate and M&A transactions before expanding his focus to include complex commercial work and advising in-house teams on legal department transformation projects. In his free time, Ethan enjoys playing basketball and catching up on the latest movies.

Girish Dharmaraj caret
Head of Product
With more than 18 years of experience in technology and software, and extensive cloud expertise, Girish Dharmaraj has a stellar track record of developing highly innovative products and leading results-driven transformational change. He has served in product and engineering leadership roles at various organisations, leading the development of complex technology, such as Contact Centre and intelligent systems. At Toku, he is responsible for defining and executing the product roadmap, pricing our solutions, UI & UX, technical documentation, and customer experience centres. He is passionate about helping companies turn great ideas into viable products that customers adore and empowering people to connect and communicate with freedom and ease from their device of choice.

Jonathan Mondon caret
Head of Enterprise
Jonathan Mondon is the Head of Enterprise at Toku. With over 15 years of multinational leadership experience, he led the regional business for close to a decade at Activeo Singapore (which was acquired by Toku in 2023). He specialises in growing companies from scratch, market development, and is passionate about how new software can create disruptive innovation. Jonathan's expertise lies in a combination of technology and business consulting, with a focus on Digital Workplace, Contact Centre, and Customer Experience. He brings this knowledge to MNC clients in Asia and local companies, helping them reach new heights in customer excellence. When he's not busy with work, Jonathan loves hitting the gym to unwind, indulging in his love for chocolate, fantasy stories and space science shows.

Head of Global Services
Monnan Miah is the Head of Global Services at Toku, a role he has held since 2022. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, Monnan is responsible for managing the compliance of services throughout the business and pushing the company's growth into new markets and countries. In addition, he supports the organization in further enhancing its existing portfolio in line with Toku's commitment to customer engagement. Recently, Monnan made the move to Asia, and loves exploring local culture, and all that the region has to offer. He is passionate about football and a dedicated AFC Wimbledon fan.

Rajesh Gopinathan caret
Head of Operations
Rajesh Gopinathan is a highly experienced and competent IT professional with over 25 years of experience in Project Management, IT Infrastructure Management, Operations Management, Data Centre migrations, and System Integration. As Head of Operations at Toku, Rajesh is responsible for operational excellence, defining and ensuring KPIs and SLA targets are met, and improving operational management systems to guarantee business continuity and continuous improvement inside the company. He has been instrumental in crucial activities such as data centre consolidation and migration, replacement of our billing platform for voice services, and migration of our SMS platform. In his free time, Rajesh is an avid fan of cricket, soccer, MotoGP, and athletics. He also enjoys reading crime thrillers and watching comedies and thrillers. For travel, he loves going on long drives with friends.

Head of People & Culture
Enabling people as Toku’s Head of People & Culture, Shefali aspires to create not only a great place to work but also a happier, healthier, and more harmonious workplace in which people can thrive, with a heavy focus on culture. Brought up in Oman, Shefali has lived in Singapore for nearly 15 years. She is a creative at heart, with bold, straightforward, and innovative attributes that materialise in her work. She has a versatile skillset with close to 10 years of experience across advertising design, client management, agency & in-house recruitment and People & Culture in early-stage start-ups. She’s a fitness enthusiast, loves cheese & wine and is an avid aesthete!
